MBDO Bonanno has showcased limited levels of flexibility in comparison to her peers. Correctly, MBDO Bonanno is part of the SNA Scheduling Committee, which speaks well on her behalf. However, based on my written and verbal communications, being a part of the SNA Scheduling Committee does not fully meet the requirements of being a flexible leader. Additionally, MBDO Bonanno will need to take more ownership of her performance to be rendered a candidate for SBDO. I have the tendency to not have enough confidence in myself to make decisions without a lot of input from others and permission seeking. My mentor used to be my boss and he told me that while I was ultimately one of his best program directors he had ever supervised; my journey to the directorship was exhausting and sometimes a bit frustrating for him. He stated that I would ask questions about every minute detail because I seemed to fear making a mistake. He said that for me to become a leader I need to believe in myself, have confidence that I am capable and I do know what I am doing. When it comes to leadership styles, I feel that bringing a new perspective best fits with my strengths, character, personality, and skills (Kirst-Ashman & Hull, slide 3, 2015). While employing communication skills may be an obvious leadership style, I work hard to bring a fresh perspective to whatever project I am doing. Take my previous example, what enabled me to succeed was not communication, but rather demonstrating a different perspective. Characteristics of extraversion or surgency include being an outgoing and social person, having high energy and seeking the company of others. As we can see my low score in the online test reflects that I lack all the above characteristics of extraversion in me and I fall into the category of introverts. Introverts are usually characterized by quietness, reserved nature, and lack of social exuberance and I feel I possess all these qualities. I am not a very social person when it comes to people whom I have just met. I need time to get acquainted with them and once I do that, I am much more comfortable interacting with them. With my group of close friends, I do find most characteristics of extraversion in me, but these characteristics do not emerge in other situations. Also I never have been the life of a party or any other social gathering, but I do make rare attempts to be involved and enhance the team dynamics. Also historically, in a social gathering, I have not been comfortable when the attention is on me, but this is something that I have been able to overcome to a certain degree, though there is a lot of scope for improvement.…
