Flips And Lifts

Flips and Lifts In addition to singing, we also decided to incorporate some dancing into our performance as research project. We believed that is a great form of expression and it would be a good addition to our performance as research project. Since none of us are dancer, we asked Hadley and Ashlyn to provide us with some help and dance moves. We decided that Kim would be my partner and Olivia will be Luke’s partner. This was decided particularly because of the height differences. Dancing would be a great way to spice up our performance and provide the audience with some fun and unique entertainment. It was decided that I was to flip Kim at the end of our routine. We practiced the flip over and over again until we got it right. We also learned a lift where the Luke and I would be lifting Kim and Olivia and then spinning them around. Dancing is a great form of art that displays strong passion and creativity and I wanted our performance as research project to illustrate this. Dancing is also very entertaining, which will amuse the audience into not leaving their seats. In addition, since Josh and Stan were the ones doing most of the singing, we decided that the passengers, so Olivia, Luke, Kim, and I, will have a big finale scene where each and every one of us will be singing and dancing. Since this was a last minute addition to our performance it was not performed during the rough draft presentation. Furthermore the ending scene where the passengers will choose which decision they make was also not performed in the rough draft presentation because we did not want to reveal the ending and still leave some surprises for our final presentation. This way not everything was displayed and the audience still has something to stay till the end for.
