Natural causes of flooding are caused by heavy rainfall that causes a lot of damage. Heavy rainfall causes a lot of damage because the ground does not have enough time to Infiltrate itself and then that cause surface run off. Something else is if a valley has very steep hills/sides. Another thing is if you have rivers flowing in the country. Human causes are made by people cutting down trees(Deforestation). Bridges make the situation far more worse cars and trees would get stuck under the bridge.

In the last few years the rainfall has been heavier than expected Bangladesh has one of the two largest rivers in the world The Ganges and the Brahmaputra and the largest range of mountains the Himalayas. Causes of Boscastle flood: In Boscastle the flooding was caused by the river Valency has very steep sides. A grey storm of clouds had released 5 inches of water between 1pm and 6pm. There was a little bridge and that made the flooding far more worse cars and trees were getting stuck under the bridge which meant the water had to go around the bridge instead of going under the bridge.

Primary: 3,000 people have now been killed and 30 million people have been made homeless. Houses, railways and roads have all been swept away and Dhaka airport is still under three metre of water. There is no drinking water available and only a few paces with electricity.
Secondary: This has lead to the spread of dieses and illnesses, such as dysentery and diarrhoea tablets and medicines are desperately needed. Many more people are expected to die.
Effects of Boscastle flood
Primary: Nobody died or got seriously injured. Roads got blocked, buildings were destroyed including the witchcraft museum and the village shop. Possessions were lost and one sewage pipe burst.
