Focus 2 Work Interest Assignment: Personality Characteristics
This week the assignment was to take the Focus 2 work interest assessment, which would provide possible job interests based on the resulting personality type characteristics. Mine resulted in a 71% artistic, 37.5% enterprising, and 25% social assessment. Artistic, which was my strongest result, is the category geared towards expressive and creative individuals. Enterprising, my second, is a marketing type with tendencies toward leadership abilities. And social is the category where a people person would typically be located. They also like to use a team to complete a task.
Most of the job suggestions it came up with were either things I would be interested in or part of what I plan to major in, cinematic arts. It suggested film editor,
script editor, and theater and media director as well as several other jobs that fall under the creative realm of occupations. I believe that its analysis was very accurate since almost all of the results were areas of potential interest to me. However, I had already discovered my desired future job before having taken the assessment so many of the results were irrelevant. But as already stated, many of the results were elements of my desired major and following career: film making. The only thing it was wrong about is that I want to be in the midst of the crafting of the project rather than just editing final products of various pieces of it. I want to write scripts, not edit ones already written. I want to help make the film, not sit on a computer after it has already been filmed. But for the most part, it was a very accurate assessment of my tendencies and areas of consideration for career.

I almost wish I had taken this quiz before I graduated high school to have better helped me with choosing what I planned on studying at college to eventually work at for the rest of my lif
