Quantitative research is important because it can be easily pre-structured, this means through surveys and forms many people can be reached in a short period of time (Brannen 2017). This research proposal will use qualitative research by creating focus groups in two different areas of Victoria, both in Geelong one with young people who have been involved in the program and the other with providers of the Circle Program in Geelong. The focus group involving young people who have previously been involved in the program will aim to find areas in which the program can improve by starting a discussion around a question such as ‘do you feel you received adequate support for your individual circumstances in the circle program’. Unfortunately, we had received an email from Ms. Kathy Moser that due to the children testing the teachers had decided that it was best to not continue the intervention. Moving forward with these news during our meeting my group and myself decided that we would be focusing on our poster board. We read over a grade rubric so that everything expected from everyone would be clarified in case anyone had questions. We went into detail and discussed the focus group as Lilia and myself are assigned to get that finished by the week of the 18th.
