Food deserts is a serious topic that communities need to consider looking into. Residents are struggling to obtain healthy food because they are isolated from the urban areas. Ideally they are low-income and do not own a car or access to public transportation meaning getting around places is a challenge. According to the “Food Empowerment Project’s”, they stated that high incomed districts have three times of accessible supermarkets as low incomes locations.
