The movie Food, Inc. too a very interesting idea “Where does our food come from” and took the audience on a wild ride showing us the true side of food. The creator of the movie took a very simple idea and changed my and many other people’s outlook on what we are eating. The movie showed everything from how major food brands conduct business to how all-natural and organic brands are starting to make their way into our homes. Anyone that watches this movie would start to second think how we can eat any food that we don’t grow or raise ourselves. The movie went through the mass production of chickens, what kind of chemicals that are added to make our food “safer”, what dieses are found in our food and why they are present, and even how all the laws that have been created for safety are proven wrong by small brands.
Overall this movie was created to prove a point that the government and huge corporations have taken over everything that has to do with our food. In my opinion the moral of this movies is that the food industry is unsafe and untrustworthy. It pays to know where our food is coming from and how it is created so you can make the best choice of what you might have for dinner. This movie shows the bad side of big business and how organic and homegrown food can be a better choice. These morals are a great thing to take into consideration where deciding what to eat or not. Being able to make an educated decision will pay off in the long run. There are several benefits of choosing to know where your food comes from. The most important is that your choosing to educate yourself to make the best and most healthy decision you can based of facts and this movie helps you start to do that. After watching this movie I was stunned. I really couldn’t believe that this much deceit was involved in our food industry. I think that this movie will make me think before I eat. While walking through the store I will defiantly try to get the better buy.
