Vince Lombardi, football player, coach, and executive once said “Football is like life -- it requires perseverance, self-denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication, and respect for authority”. Let’s focus in on the part where Lombardi says “Football is like life”. Mr. Lombardi compares the sport of football to life. We know what football is like at this day and age, but what will football be like in the future? Will football change as life will, fast and uncontrollable? Will this quote even be relevant in the future? Nobody knows for sure, but one can imagine. The value of points have been changing and how hard it is to get those points up on the board. For example, in 1904 the field goal was changed from five points down to four.
