The film footy legends has many themes running through it, some being more important than others. The two themes that have been chosen today, are familly and football, these two themes stand out during the film, as they consistently have an impact on the citizens of yagoona, and connect with the audience.
the theme of family is almost constant in the movie. Throughout there is allways a reminder somewhere showing us that family is important. the main characters Anne and Luc share a very spotlighted relationship, in the sense that it is allways in the audiences focus throughout the film. Although this maay seem like a obvius choice, the titles called foty legends after all, it runs deeper than first thought. Football has had a massive impact on the citizens of yagoona, and its football team. This can be seen from boof, he is shown at the begining of the film, not being a paticularly good farther, this being shown with him not even glancing up from the tv when his son starts to urinate on the electrical plugs. But over the course of the movie he begins to change his habits, and starts to disipline his son, albiet rather strangley when hes telling his son to repeat the phrase "if i ever smoke again my dad will kick me in the nuts" this can be seen quite starkly. although quite rudimentral it shows that football seems to have brought out boofs more caring side. another way football can be seen impacting the induviduals of yagoona is from (fat guy). At the start of the film, his son can be seen calling him a "dollbludger" and questions his choices. But as the movie rolls on and (fat guy) starts to play football, his son warms up to him, and wears a t-shirt with his dads face on it. Even at the finals he can be seen shouting "come on dad!". This is a clear point that football has impacted the induviduals of
