Hair Detective
1. Describe the crime that you are investigating in this activity.
In this activity, we had to discover who stole the rock bands hair products. While the band was in rehearsal, someone snuck into their dressing room and stole it. The trail of hair gel lead to the room of another girl band.
2. What evidence do you have to identify the culprit of the crime?
We have strands of hair of the culprit and other band members. We tested the hair samples in the lab to find DNA clues of who the hair could belong to.
3. Who stole the hair products? How do you know?
Jade is the one who stole the boys hair products. I know this because the crime seen hair sample matches her hair.

1. Describe the crime that you are trying to solve.
We are trying to solve a hit and run car accident. Cory was killed while his girlfriend is in a coma. We are trying to solve if this accident could of involved alcohol.
2. Who is one pioneer in autopsy? What did this person contribute to the practice of autopsies?
Dr. Falco is one pioneer in this autopsy. He took the samples of blood, urine and vitreous humor and tested to see what percent was in each sample. We tested to find out Cory was under the influence of alcohol during this car accident.
3. How does alcohol affect the body? Give specific examples from the episodes.
Alcohol is a depressant, meaning it can slow you down. It makes you feel more relaxed and it delays your reaction time. It can affect the liver. After viewing Cory’s liver, we could see he had a fatty liver, meaning he had short term alcohol abuse.
4. Why is evidence important in forensic science? What evidence was important in the episodes? Why?
Evidence is crucial in forensic science because it can help solve crimes and clues in mysteries. We can find out who killed people in order to establish safety or solve crimes such as burglaries. All the evidence we had found played an important role in
