In this experiment, water and potato enzymes were mixed to create a solution and placed into three test tubes. The first test tube was placed in 0 degrees Celsius, second test tube 22 degrees Celsius, and third in 95 degrees Celsius. The null hypothesis is when the temperature is changed; the concentration will not be affected. INTRODUCTION: Our main objective for this experiment was to determine which three chemicals were going to be the most toxic to the brine shrimp by adding drops of vinegar, bleach and ammonia to the controlled water. We found that the vinegar was the most effective and the quickest. The ending results were very interesting when being compared to our hypothesis and we learned that some chemicals can react faster than others and each contains a different level of concentration.…

Writing reports comes easy to most people, but the trick is to make the report easy and inviting for others to read. It is difficult to pick up and read a report that is dull and boring. I am not talking about the subject of the report but rather the look of it. A report may be chocked full of useful, important, and exciting information; but it may never get read in its¡¦ entirety because it looks uninteresting. One way to make a report more inviting to read is the use of eye catchers. An eye catcher is something that captures the eye; it aids you in gaining the reader¡¦s attention. Examples of eye catchers are:…

A properly written formal lab report in CHEM 123L consists of the following sections: Cover Page  Give your experiment a good, descriptive title  Include the date, your name, ID#, TA’s name and partner’s name and section # Introduction and / or Purpose  Introduce the background material your reader will need to understand the experiment and all parts of your report.  Summarize the underlying theory of the experiment and any equations you will use.  Identify the purpose of the experiment; what you are trying to accomplish or prove? Experimental Procedure  If the procedure in the lab manual was followed exactly, it is sufficient to state the following: "The experimental procedure used for this experiment was outlined in the CHEM 123L lab manual, Experiment #1. All steps were followed without deviation.") You must include your lab manual in your reference section if you use this technique.  If the procedure in the lab manual was not followed exactly, you must explain what was done differently.  Marks are not assigned for the procedure, but will be deducted if you do not include it in your report. Experimental Observations  Present all experimental observations; what did you see / hear / feel happening as the experiment was proceeding?  Enter original observations such as weights, volumes, temperatures etc. with units.  Tabulate experimental data (ie, present your data in a table) whenever possible, this helps the reader quickly compare your data. Include appropriate table titles, labels and units.  In some lab reports the observations may be incorporated into the results section. Results & Calculations  Show one sample calculation to illustrate how each type of calculation was performed. Use appropriate units and significant figures.  Tabulate calculated results, whenever possible. Tables must have appropriate titles, labels and proper units.  Refer to Appendix B: Data Analysis, for information on plotting experimental data.…

“Police statistics reflect a growing number of livestock cases”, Sunday standard.livestock theft cases are now hitting the high rocks. People are always complaining to the government and some are even threatening when no action is taken concerning this issue of theft. Many Batswana attach a disproportionately high premium, emotional value and importance to their livestock. we already have foot and mouth disease as a problem and when their livestock goes astray it makes matters worse. this is not only a threat to the farmers only but to the whole nation. they might try to cope with the situations but it is not easy to accept it when it is done by another human being.it becomes unpardonable and unacceptable when they find out that they are losing their livestock to organised criminals who habitually come out of the shadows to steal their cattle, in most cases not for immediate consumption but rather for commercial reasons. the fact that the citizens are now loosing hope might lead to them taking the matter into their own hands and they might end up breaking the laws set by the government. Loss of livestock is a huge threat to the citizens of Botswana even our economy as a whole. Livestock is not only used for selling. it is, especially cattle, very valued for paying bride price. Also these animals are used in many events even the cultural ones.…
