Maj. Nidal Hasan wants the death penalty so he can be killed by the government. That way he will die a “martyr”, others do not want him to get his way, they would like for him to spend life in prison without a chance at parole. I feel like Maj. Nidal Hasan should spend life in prison. It was wrong what he did. He was a United States soldier and should have fought for our country instead of against us and killing his own fellow troops. I don’t think giving him the death penalty is right because that is what he wants and he should have to sit in prison until he dies. He would then have plenty of time to think about what he has done and how wrong it is. Then again if he sits in prison we the people have to support his food and television watching with our tax money we pay.
