They help regulate children attention, behavior, physiology, and emotions (Dozier 2013). If a caregiver do not play a role in the development of these aspects, we see severe consequences. It was stated in lecture that children enter foster care for a variety of reasons. This can include mental illness, substance abuse or parental incarceration as well as exposure to maltreatment. (Schreier, January 28, 2018). To avoid this, appropriate caregiving is required. The four dimensions to quality caregiving are nurturance, synchrony, stability, and
