After High School, everyone wonders if college is the right place to be. Some wish to build an entire career studying, while some rather spend their time in jobs that offer them the experience necessary to gain knowledge. The first and most important would be being able to afford it, since it has a much lower cost than a four-year college. According to studies made by the American Education Services "On average, a four-year university or college costs four times more than a community college annually", this is entirely based on tuition; it does not include books or place of living. Another important benefit would be the location; community colleges are situated in almost every county, which makes it easier to stay close to family and friends. As was stated before, not a lot people go into college knowing exactly what they want to do for the rest of their lives; a 2-year college will offer the opportunity of exploring career options without having to spend as much money and time as you would in a four-year college or university. It is also important to notice that two-year schools have an "open admission policy" according to the American Education Services, which means they accept anyone who has a High-school diploma or a GED. In contrast, a four-year school has its own benefits. It is needless to say that furthering your education will lead to a better outcome in jobs and salaries; also, the broad range of competitive universities provides plenty of places and levels to choose from. Being able to start from freshmen year in a four-year institution creates a better environment in the long run than transferring from one school to another.
