Fox Hip Hop Empire Play Analysis

Fox hip hop opera ‘Empire has a star studded cast Taraji P. Henson plays (Cookie Lyons) Terrance Howard (Lucious Lyons) and Gabourey Sidibe (Becky). The show real life scenarios, and imperfect Hollywood storyline. Viewers watching can imagine parts of their lives panning out to resemble “Empire” storyline.

Last season “Empire” storyline focused on Cookie and Luscious Lyons relationship, and the struggles that occurred before there was wealth. As Cookie served time in prison Luscious Lyons started a music company, which he called ‘Empire’.

Upon Cookie release from prison, there was feeling of ownership of the music company. She felt worthy of the money accumulated, while she was absent. But Lucious had plans of making one of his son’s head of Empire, which leaves his sons fighting to gain power. However, at the conclusion of last season, viewers could predict the ending. Luscious Lyons arrested for murder due to the disloyalty of his family.
As this season began the focus on the tumultuous Lyons family relationship is front in center.
As Hakeem and Andre Lyons work to have their father axed from Empire, while he is locked away. Jamal Lyons takes over as head of Empire to displeasure of his siblings. Hakeem and Andre plan to remove their father fails, and Cookie Lyons had idea to start her own company. After, Cookie started her own music company called Lyons Dynasty. The power struggle amongst family is the attention grabber for viewers this season. The battle between Lyons Dynasty and Empire artists could excite viewers.

Viewers could feel as if choosing sides really matter, and gives a battle of music company feel. As the season continues who will gain the power at the end will Empire reign supreme or Lyons
Dynasty.
