Frankenstein And Prometheus Similarities
There are many ways that Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and the Greek Mythology story of Prometheus are similar. For an example Prometheus had stolen fire from Zeus to give to mankind. Zeus didn’t agree with what Prometheus had done, so as a punishment he was chained to a mountain and created women for punishment. How this is alike in Frankenstein by Mary Shelly is Victor Frankenstein was able to steal Gods power of creating life. As Victors punishment he had many of his close family killed Elizabeth, William, his father and their maid Justine. As Victors punishment of making the monster the monster goes on a killing spree and kills everyone who he was really close to.     Despite the fact that after being treated the way he was by others, the monster seeks revenge for Victor’s abandonment and for making him an unbearable scene to be seen by mankind.
