Hello my names Michael and My girlfriend Kate and I have lived next door to our rival neighbors for about a year and a half now. Never known why they don’t like us but it has gone back all the way to high school. Now meet our neighbors. First there Steve, he was a jock in high school, becoming a 2 time all American and being the jerk that always got the girl. Now as for me, I was just a normal kid who fit in with just about everyone, never really liked sports, I was a musician, I played guitar in a rock band named hot stovetop, and we were terrible. Anyways meet Steve’s girlfriend, or as I like to call her “his trophy wife” Beth. They both were the popular kids in school who didn’t talk to anyone who wasn’t muscular or didn’t have they’re face and body covered in plastic. That’s our neighbors. (As you can see were the nice ones). We both win free camping trips to camp woodlands a “paradise in the woods”. Now if I know Steve, then I know he hasn’t changed one bit and is most likely planning something big to scare us. Like a trap of some sort. We get to this camp and at first it was fun, like quality time with the Kate. But then Kate and I, sitting outside our tent find a bag with rope, a big net, 2 Bigfoot costumes, duct tape, and a paper with steps on how to tie us up to a tree.

We figured they wanted to tie us up and leave us there till however long. So we decided to use it against them. Kate and I put on the Bigfoot outfits and scared them instead of the other way around. And when they tried to run away they got caught in the capture net. As they dangle from a tree 7 feet in the air in a net Kate and I just look and laugh. And I think that day Steve and Beth gained a new found respect for

Three social issues that are in this case are that one, social issue in this case was Ford claimed the reason for the recall of the 1.9 million Ford Pintos was not for safety but for “reputational” reasons. This is a social issue because, after all the evidence was piled up on their company for being unsafe and hazardous, they couldn’t just admit they made a mistake and recall the vehicles to make them safer. No, they had to use the reputation card to help their company’s image in the long run so they wouldn’t lose profit. In this issue, there is no utilitarianism because there mindset in making this decision isn’t for the right reasons. There not doing it to intentionally increase the safety of everybody. One version, rule-utilitarianism, considers that, “a rule or code of behavior is morally right if, by its application, the consequences are more favorable that unfavorable to everyone.” They weren’t being moral when they made this decision. The citizens and people had nothing to do with the recall. It was their own self-pity and arrogance. Another social issue in this case is that in June of 1978, Ford knew that its fuel tank did not meet Federal Safety Standards, yet they didn’t do anything to warn the owners of this. It’s a fact that if people were warned of this issue, thousands and thousands of people wouldn’t want to buy the Ford Pinto. Being that this was a social issue, Ford was all about making a profit and hid crucial information for the public. The third of many social issues in this case are that when Ford was being prosecuted in the courtroom, they defended themselves against negligence by claiming its car was comparable to other subcompacts at that time.…

“It was very cold so we had hung tarps on the doorways to this room on the first floor where we decided set up our base camp. We had a portable heater running but it was still extremely cold. I was leaning up against the doorway next to one of the tarps. We had all of our gear boxes and bags sitting just outside the room. I couldn’t get comfortable so I wasn’t getting any sleep. I began to hear shuffling outside the doorway and what sounded like someone rustling through our bags. Clint (Griffith), Adam, and Rick were asleep so I decided to take a peak because I thought it was Stephanie or the apprentice who elected to sleep in the truck,” said Todd. When he checked, there was no one there. He continued to try and get some sleep, but by this time the sun was already starting to come up and he knew it was a lost cause. “I began hearing the rustling outside the doorway again so this time I grabbed my DVR camera and went out. Again there was no one there. I traveled down the hallway where I was hearing noises and circled through a room to the opposite doorway to our base camp. This particular doorway had two tarps attached to it; one taped to either side of the door jam and was not used as an egress. Everything seemed to be in order and I found no one roaming about so I concluded it was just some curious spirits wondering what our bags contained,” said Todd. He returned to the other doorway and entered the base camp where he continued to try to get some rest. “Not three minutes after I got settled back down, a loud noise came from the tarp hanging on the doorway right next to me. The tarp was a heavy green poly material that contained a ridged pattern. The sound appeared to be a fingernail starting at the top of the tarp and running all the way down to the bottom, creating an almost zipper like sound. It was so loud it woke Adam…

It was a beautiful day for the hike. Liam told her that they should have the lake all to themselves. Halfway through the lake, they rested on a wooden log. Suddenly they heard someone laughing and then soon saw two young men approaching the lake. Liam confronted the men and lied to them about seeing an elk carcass by the lake indicating the presence of a grizzly bear at the lake. This scared the pants off the men and they turned back. As soon as they were out of sight, Gabriella and Liam continued on towards the lake.…

Second of all, overdoses because of prescription drugs can affect anyone, and it causes more death than vehicle crashes. People have been more focused on making cars safer so you can basically text and drive at the same time, rather than making drugs more safe. In the article The Cost of the Opioid Crisis it states that the number of people dying because of prescription opioid is larger than those who die in motor vehicle accidents. People are still trying to make cars safer even though the opioid epidemic is now exceeding the amount of deaths. “ In 2013, though, opioids killed 16,235 people; that's approximately half as many as died in traffic accidents that year, and about 2,000 more than were murdered” (Pain medications are killing a shocking…

Ever since I was born, I was a military brat. Not knowing where to call home, or if any place could be home, I moved. I moved six times, four of those places were towns that nobody could think about. Germany, North Carolina, Alaska, North Carolina, Germany, and Alaska, yet no place to call home. May 22, 1999, my first day on this world; Kronach hospital had its first American baby in their hands, yet they acted like I was a different species. The only event I remember was when I was about one. While I was one, I grabbed everything in my reach, even a grill handle. As a baby, I did not know that the handle was moving, the grill top had smashed my thumb. Ever since that event, I now have a starfish mark on the side of my right thumb from where the stiches were.…

I reached the shore and climbed out of the water, right in front of a wolf pack that was standing on the beach. “Who are you?” said a black wolf. I was still trembling with fear. “Umm, my name is Sky. This is my wife, Kate, and my two pups, Lexie and Ben,” said the wolf. “If you want to survive, then follow me, if you can run.” And they ran off, leaving me in the dust.…

So we took a picture. Then we wait till sun down. Then Kubota came with its headlights to pick us up and the head- lights blinded a buck for a second it was so quick I could not tell how many points. Then we unloaded the guns and chairs on our backs, got down, and into the Kubota with Carlos, and his friend and his dog. After Carlos said are you guys ready to go? I said no! I shot a deer and I know for a fact I got her! Carlos agreed with me. “So let’s find your first beauty”. We parked the Kubota near the corn feeder where I shot it. Next we looked for blood trails, footprints, and let loose the hound to go find it. We searched for 30 minutes then then we found 1 drop of blood, then we were on its trail. Then we found more blood in a certain direction. Then, Carlos yelled to me “KYLE COME LOOK AT THIS” I saw a skeleton of a deer head next to Carlos. That’s what I thought he called me over there to see but, then as I was about to turn away I saw to the left of the deer head and to the right of Carlos’s right leg. I see a deer leg then my face blew up faster than you can say…

Fortunately, I had to carry all the light supplies like marshmallows and towels. We walked about four miles into the overgrown weeds and prickers until there was a small parting in the greenery. I sat on a log near the firepit and watching Chloe and Lexy set up the tents. A few hours of adventuring and partying went by it was now nightfall. The fire had been lit, by then it was pitch black out only the fire lighting up our faces. Freshman year we started playing the game one truth and two lies, a childish game we played out of boredom. We had been playing for about thirty minutes before we got bored and it was the last turn of the game. Lexy grinned “I’ll go, I have a fish named Tom, I have a trampoline, or I am a Serial killer.” We all laughed at the idea of Lexy being a Serial killer then chloe spoke up, “it’s the trampoline I know it!” she smiled knowing she got it correct. Lexy shook her head, “Alright, then the fish named Tom.” I said hesitantly. She shook her head again at that moment Chloe and I stopped laughing and stared at Lexy. After two minutes Lexy spoke up “Honestly, I was out shopping I had a 50% off coupon and the man at the register wouldn't take it! We fought for five minutes then I left, but I waited till…

Do you believe in the paranormal? That question is important here, as some parts in this story get a tad bit dark and explore a world that a lot of people dismiss as mere superstition. I aim to tell some brief stories and describe some of the things that happened when we were in the woods and when we were out of them. I saw and heard a lot of things I can’t quite understand and I’ve always wanted to put this stuff out there somehow, I figured this may be one of my best chances. Before I can get into it though, I feel like some backstory is due.…

And we scrounged. Next to survival, scrounge was probably the most important word in our new vocabulary. We found a store that was throwing out water-damaged mattresses. Getting them home was a problem, since we had to make two trips, leaving Brad and Katie, armed with sticks to guard over the remained. I truly expected them to be challenged by some gang boss, but they said that the only person who came by was a scrawny little rat of a girl living alone. We let her have one of the mattresses.…
