Dreams embody the involuntary occurrences within the mind throughout various stages of sleep. Throughout the early part of the twentieth century, psychologist Sigmund Freud made incredible advances in the study and analysis of dreams. Dreams can facilitate assistance in understanding whether, when and how the unconscious processes are truly relevant to daily life.
Dreams have the ability to alleviate people’s everyday problems in life. They have a way of setting one free from reality, which includes day to day stressors and problems that one has difficulty in resolving. Dreams help one to overcome these stresses and help people to find some resolve and move on with their life. Maybe you’re crazy, I began to think deeply about what I had written down, trying to find some similarities between my dream and my daily life. I then researched information about the dream I had and I didn’t find anything that was of relation or gave me clarity on what my dream could possibly mean or be related to. Now I’m really beginning to think I might just be a little crazy, because no one had a dream like this. I then told myself that I would wait until I talked to Dr.Scott about the dream I had. That way I would know for sure he wouldn’t think I’m crazy because of the dream I had. Hours go by and I’m still thinking about this dream. It was like a song on repeat. I was not going to be able to focus on anything else until I knew what my dream meant. To gain a better understanding about the process of analyzing and understanding my dream I completed more research on the Freudian analysis. I found a few more things that could help me gain a better understanding of what my dream could mean. I felt much better as now the weight was lifted off my back because I finally felt as if I was understanding the information I was reading and could now apply it to my own dream.
