Fuel And Energy-Why Are Fuel And Energy Important?
Fuel and energy-Why are fuel and energy important?
I chose this topic because I think; it plays an important role in our life. Without fuel and energy, I wouldn't be able to arrive to school on time, because I need to come to school by car, which would not work if there is no fuel. I wouldn't be able to use Air Conditioner, because it need electricity to works….and many more example. The point is without fuel and energy, most part of our life would be meaningless. So it is important for us, that we need to use fuel and energy wisely. Even now we are starting to face difficulties about fuel and energy, which worries me a lot for our future generations and makes me wonder, "How are people going to survive in the future, without fuels and energy".

Without them I think the world will be a dark, boring and hard, because electricity can make our job a lot easier. There are many types of electricity, most of them are renewable and some of them are not renewable. I think people should use more renewable energies because they can never be run out, and once they are used they can be recycled and use again as electricity. People should use renewable energies because basically they are safe, they are not dangerous and they can't harm the atmosphere. Like Solar plate, all it does is just it takes in sun lights store them and convert them to energies. I think people should use less unrenewable energies are harmful and, they are so dangerous and they can damage the ozone layers a lot. Like patrols from cars, once it comes out from the car, I rose up and it destroys the atmosphere, if there is a rain, there can also be acid rain which is very dangerous and not good for your health. So we need the energy and renewable energies are the safest and most reliable energy. As there has been some shortage of energies in the world. I think they should build more renewable energies like. Tidal power, Similar to a wind turbine, many tidal stream generators rotate underwater and is driven by the swiftly moving dense water. Although not yet widely used, tidal power has potential for future electricity generation. Tides are more predictable than wind energy and solar power. Historically, tide …show more content…
Keeping the AC switched on whole night, at top speed or at the coolest point that the AC can do. Keeping the computer or internet or phone or other electronic devices on even when they not in use, keeping them on all weekends can cause lots of electricity and money, these electronic things cost approximately more than 10 percent of a home energy bill each month. There are many more examples or ways that can cost you energy.By 2025, buildings are predicted to be the largest consumer of energy, more than transportation and the industrial sector combined. As much as 50% of the energy and water that flow into buildings today is wasted. In large urban areas like New York City, approximately 80% of the carbon footprint comes from buildings. The opportunities for savings are very real and go right to the bottom line by reducing energy and water usage as much as 40%. We better not do any of the things above or there will be consequences a waiting for you in the

During the course of a year, our energy consumption needs can change due to several factors. With the implementation of telework in many companies, our gasoline consumption can be reduced by working from home several days a week; by eating out more often, we can reduce our energy consumption from not cooking every day; our heating/cooling energy consumption might increase due to working from home several days a week; our energy consumption for computer use may increase due to working from home several days a week and this would…

The invention of electricity, to many, can be considered one of the greatest inventions by humanity, behind writing and the wheel. From its first discovery in the 1600s till present day, electricity has fascinated the minds of scientist everywhere. Over time society has been established with a very high dependency on this commodity. Imagine our world today without electricity or any of the inventions derived from it. Modern societies would have taken a much different path. Last year the International Energy Agency conducted a survey on the energy statistics for over 30 of the more developed countries. Around 62 percent of the energy produced worldwide was created from combustible fuel source (Monthly Electricity Statistics). When combustible fuel is burned, carbon and other harmful byproducts are released into the atmosphere. This brings about environmental injustice since every living organism in contact with the atmosphere now suffers the consequences which the few benefit from. While I believe this is the more grave concern regarding electricity, the majority of the modernized world might not have an equivalent conclusion.…

Nonetheless, saving energy not only benefits the planet, but our ‘pockets’ as well. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, a simple task like replacing the light bulbs in your home can save up “75% energy of the 10% home energy costs.” Or simply unplugging electronics and appliances when not in use – a task made easier by using multiple-outlet strips, which can turn everything off with the flip of a switch – can save you money. For example, Leaving a computer on all day can cost about “21 cents per day, or about $75 per year” (U.S. Department of energy). Also, according to Goldemberg’s article “Energy for the New Millennium”, 78% of CO2 and 23% of methane is expelled from energy activities which are ultimately major contributors to indoor air pollution, urban air pollution, acidification and global…

Have you ever wondered why this topic keeps cropping up in every related subject that is in the school curriculum? From Science (two chapters) to Moral Studies, students are drilled about the importance of the environment and all sources of energy. Compared to our parents and grandparents time in school, this topic was not of urgency to mankind. Is it because of the fear brought about from the dreaded date of 21st December, 2012 in the Mayan calendar or the movie 2012 or even the television series ‘Terranova’ (aired on the NTV7 channel on Sunday’s at 9:30pm)?…

Zoning reforms that allow greater urban density as well as designs for walking and bicycling can greatly reduce energy consumed for transportation. The use of telecommuting by major corporations is a significant opportunity to conserve energy, as many Americans now work in service jobs that enable them to work from home instead of commuting to work each day.Further reading…
