Fuel-Efficient Cars
What consumers will gain when manufacturers provide more fuel-efficient cars?

Today, we have many different kinds of cars to choose. They have different sizes, colors, prices and models. When we buy an automobile, we look for the best auto to satisfy our needs like going to the store. Manufacturers provide more cars to help us in our needs. When manufactures provide more fuel-efficient autos, consumers save money, gas, and time.
A fuel-efficient car will help us saved money. I mean think about it the average person spends about $400 dollars a month on gas now a days, if you really think about I'm quite sure you find something else to use $400 dollars for. For example manufacturers say that by buying a fuel-efficient automobile like a Hybrid you can get up to 30 miles per gallon. Now just looking at that, you have just saved at least half of your money that you would have used on gas because you're not using as much gas as you would have without a fuel- efficient vehicle. Sounds great to me!

Gas prices have increased because all the hurricanes that happen in the United States and the country are running low of fuel. A gallon of gas is around $ 4.01 and the prices might change pretty soon. Manufacturers have made is so that the engine of a fuel-efficient auto is smaller and will consume less gas. They have also made it to where the gas last longer in a fuel-efficient auto oppose to a non fuel-efficient auto. Most people need an auto to go to work, attend school, or to go shopping and all this traveling will use a lot of gas. The less gas our car consumes the better our environment will

Gas prices fluctuate due to oil prices and the anticipated supply and demand worldwide. Whenever there is political unrest in a major oil producing country you will see an increase in gas prices due to the demand of oil potentially produced decreasing. Very rarely do gas prices follow the general supply and demand because if they did gas prices would be lower currently. In my hometown of Augusta, GA gas prices are always below the national average and with us bordering South Carolina many Augustans travel the short distance to pay lower prices in South Carolina which are usually $0.10-$0.15 cheaper. Much as the rest of the world goes whenever there is a threat to the supply of oil, regardless of having a surplus currently, the gas prices in this area see a $0.10-$0.20 increase sometimes within a 30 minute period.…

The price of gasoline is definitely driven by the concept of supply and demand. When prices fall, quantity demand will rise, when price rises, quantity demanded will fall. This statement is true in most cases. But gasoline is a necessity to most Americans. The demand for fuel does not decrease when the price increase. Consumers often influence the price of gasoline. Gas prices in the late spring and summer months are the highest during the entire year. These are the periods when consumers drive the most. This is the time when most construction and manufacturing jobs are in operation. Like now, in the winter, gas prices are at the lowest point in a six month period. The six-month gasoline price chart I viewed at chicagogasprices.com indicates this notion. The average price of gasoline in the Chicago area is between $3.25 - $3.70. In the summertime, we were paying gasoline prices of around $3.80 - $4.50. Consumers are deciding to drive less for recreation and more of going straight from point A to point B. The supply of gasoline has increased during the winter months, and producers capitalize on that surplus with the increased driving by consumers in the upcoming spring and summer months, while increasing the price of gasoline substantially. But in the news, you continue to hear of crude oil shortages. Big Oil Companies reported huge profits on high gasoline prices continuously for the past 4 (Froomkin, 2011). The Big Five oil companies made $36 billion in profits in the second quarter of 2011 (Froomkin, 2011). Consumers are now looking for alternative solutions in transportation because of the unsavory price fluctuation of gasoline prices while oil companies post major profits.…

Fuel prices began to rise because the supply of oil was not meeting the ever-increasing demand for fuel. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), a group of nations that determines what the guidelines for world fuel exports should be, lowered the production quotas in 1999, even though the demand for oil was rising around the world ((Facts.com, 2005). During this time, in the United States, the demand for oil was increasing due to the strong economy. Asia's economy was also rebounding from an economic crash in 1997 (Facts.com, 2005). These two factors allowed more consumers to travel further distances in larger cars. Consumers began to feel more confident in the economy and were not so money conscious. Instead of the small, fuel-efficient cars, consumers began to buy sport-utility vehicles (SUVs) that required large quantities of gas. Gas prices were a dollar lower in 2000 than they were in 1987 (Facts.com, 2005). Gas costs were lower per gallon than Coca-Cola, milk, and orange juice and significantly lower than olive oil and eye drops (Facts.com, 2005). Consumers would use this reasoning to justify purchases of the fuel hungry SUVs. Americans were encouraged by the government to rethink the purchases of these gas-devouring vehicles and to place more concern in fuel alternatives to…

Why are gas prices so high? One of the top reasons for the increase in prices is the supply and demand for oil. Crude oil accounts for 55% of the price of gasoline, whereas taxes and distribution control the remaining 45% (Amadeo, 2011). Typically, taxes and distribution are steady, so that the daily adjustment in the price of gasoline correctly reflects oil price fluctuations. However, occasionally, distribution lines are interrupted or are down for maintenance, which can oftentimes result in high gas prices even when oil prices are down (Amadeo, 2011).…

Cars are a fantastic invention. They make our lives more carefree by getting us from place to place quickly while abolishing the need for legs altogether. Instead of walking that 3 blocks to McDonalds, why not drive there? You get there faster and you can eat sooner. Driving has a lot of benefits. But driving also takes a lot of fuel, and everyone knows that fuel for cars isn’t the cheapest of resources.…

    Electric Cars

The beginning of the electric car is nearly here and once it comes, the world will never go back. There is not a single solution to such a difficult problem but much can be done towards its decision. In order to answer this important question you must first have an idea of where the oil industry is heading. Throughout history there have been ups and downs in the price of crude oil, but now this price has risen to an extraordinary level and is remaining steady. This new price is exactly what the country needs in order to start invention. As electric and hybrid cars become increasingly affordable, the general public will begin to accept them as standard. Therefore, I believe that cars with other fuel sources, such as hydrogen, solar or as I have mentioned above electric, are the best solution to the oil crisis. As more and more electric and hybrid cars enter the market, the price of oil will be driven down due to a lack of demand. Once alternative fuel sources are established, there will be…
