Analysis

Strength

The strength of this story is related in real life. The story is very meaningful because a woman waited for a long time ago to meet her love ones unexpectedly. The author do well his/her job. It’s a nice story. Even though they had work together it’s not Barrier for them, they survive to work hard, for me it’s hard to work with your past love ones.

Weaknesses

The weaknesses of the story is not good for children/teenager because more on seductive scene. It could be they attempted to do it personally. Why Luke want to revenge in Katie by means of doing seduction. For me, I think they showed their loved through

I think this book was good but it could of being better. I liked it because you could really understand all Lindsay’s struggles, desires and fear what she was going through. It made you really think and question what you would do in situation like that. It was one of those books that you have to finish because you’d want to see how it ends. I found that it was pretty descriptive and easy to read. What I didn’t like about the book was that it was short and it felt as if the book was rushed. All in all I liked this book and would recommend it to teenager because it keeps you hooked and the language is suitable and easy to understand for a teenager. I would rate it 7 out of…

The story, written in the form of a letter, shows the process of a thirteen-year-old girl becoming more mature as she expresses her grievances from her tragic childhood. At the beginning of the story, she described both the emotional and physical difficulties her family suffered through because of the absence of her father. She felt lonely, insecure and confused as she hoped that her father would come back. “Sometimes I had bad dreams. I would dream the welfare took us away and no one missed us, not even mommy. Daddy where were you?” (Page 163) At the end of the letter, however, the girl started to understand that her view of the world before was unbalanced and incomplete, “through a thin veil full of small holes”. (Page 165) She felt more released and started to notice “the greatness of the world”. (Page 165) She began to treasure all the memories she had with her family instead of thinking about her misery all the time, “we carried on living.” (Page 165) There was a great transition of her character from the beginning to the end of the letter.…

Geographic boarders of nation states become less relevant as beliefs, traditions, and customs permeate and are accepted, practiced, and implemented across various societies and cultural arenas. Globalism deals with issues on a geopolitical scope and scale, in which the influence of one culture effects, directly or indirectly, affects the dynamic of other cultures or societies. The evolution of communication and travel has brought down the logistical barriers, once imposed by these forms of communication. Sociologists and governments can no longer ignore smaller or what they deemed to be insignificant components in the framework of globalization. A prime example, as illustrated in the text, is the international trade and commerce. If we Americans analyzed everything we own or buy, we would probably realize that >50 percent of these material goods are produced in other areas of the world.…
