Imagine a world without things like CatScans, Insulin Pumps, modern Water Filters, modern Artificial Limbs, and so many other useful products like that. Without an agency like NASA and or just proper funding to it than a world like that could have been a reality. If one is to think about it then NASA has already showed how it has helped humanity. We believe that continued and an increase in funding towards space exploration and organizations such as NASA is and will provide to be crucial to the survival of humanity and the future of our species. America is first for space exploration, so should funding be increased? NASA a requested half billion dollars to advance America's space exploration plans after …show more content…
In the future humans and animals all will be living in space since one day the Earth will become a hostile environment. Some may say that scientists will stop that from happening by coming up with environmentally friendly alternatives to things that are destroying the environment currently, but they don’t stop to think that in the time it may take for us to develop these alternatives, Earth may already be unlivable, or that the damage humans have already done won’t be reversible and may continue to worsen to the point Earth will no longer be able to support life. Mars, also known as Earth’s Twin because of its similarities to Earth, may be the answer to the problem since colonizing it would be easier than any other planet because it already has everything necessary to making some new planet humans can inhabit and making a space station that is capable of mimicking earth’s functions would take centuries to create which might be too late. There has been talk about terraforming Mars to make it into another Earth by using the materials already present on the planet to create all the things necessary to support life. Chris McKay, an employee at the NASA Research Center, states, "terraforming Mars can be divided into two phases. The first phase is warming the planet from the present average surface temperature of -60° C to a …show more content…
