This is our first ever Cute Dog Thing and is a video from our own collection. A funny thing happened when we took a couple of homeless dogs out for a walk from the shelter, Holly the boxer seems to say hello back to me when I say it to her. Let us look in on Marley and see the work that he is doing for his people. Marley is a happy-go-lucky Golden Retriever. Marley is a therapy dog that belongs to Melissa, an occupational therapist who works for the Program for Students with Physical Disabilities in a local school district where she lives. She and Marley start their day in the classroom. Jaison, a student, cannot talk, and most of his reactions to his surroundings are either laughing or crying. He is very hesitant to work with Melissa, but with the help of Marley, has been able to come around. Jaison would brush Marley and pet him like they were old buddies. As a matter of fact, after a year of working with Melissa and Marley, Jaison began to utter short words like hello, bye, mommy, yes, and no. As Melissa continues to work with Jaison, you can hear Jaison giving short commands to Marley (sit, down, and catch ball). Melissa is amazed as Jaison is even calling Marley, giving him a treat, and calling him “good boy”. Since Melissa and Marley began working together as a team, there have been many more kids that have accomplished more than they would have accomplished without the use of a therapy…

Throughout history women have struggled and strived to gain equality and rights. In Patrick Lanes Red Dog Red Dog, lack of respect and mistreatment of women was obviously apparent; however, history and lack of authority left society believing that a woman’s only placement in life is her sexual being. Not only does it become apparent that men were disrespecting women, but women were withholding the same attitude and lack of appreciation for themselves. In return this led to even more of a reckless unstable environment. It is due to customs and lack of knowledge that both men and women in Vernon at this point in time are oblivious to the fact that a woman’s self worth was determined by pride for…

Pit bulls love to spread joy and happiness, and love seeing their family smile and happy. Dogs can sense any change in emotion much faster than humans can by using their sense of smell. Dogs seem to genuinely care about their owner's emotions and can listen and respond better than most humans (Skloot 1). Whether it is an adult or child, pit bulls just want to see the people that they love happy (Gladwell 1). Dogs love to give big wet slobbery kisses to everyone they meet. Puppies love to cuddle with their family in big cozy blankets. Canines are always happily wagging their tails, and are always ready to play with the…

This paper will show how I think the author was trying to use imagery to show the love between the dog and his owners.…
