Future Plans

My secret passion is art. I have always been athletic. If you ask anybody who knows me to describe me they would say either, “athletic”, or “fast.” Sports are something that has always taken up the majority of my life. Do not get me wrong. I love sports, especially softball it’s what I am hoping to get a big chunk of my schooling paid for but after that I just want to look back on them, and say that was a great part of my life. I have always been artsy. I can not wait until I turn eighteen, and am able to buy paint to paint my room the way I want it painted. I guess in a way I have always been strange. I am a little different than most girls my age. When I go shopping I usually end up spending my money on things I think might look good in my college apartment, and I still have another year to go. For example, last Christmas my mother and I were doing shopping for Christmas decorations for next Christmas while everything was on sale. I saw the perfect purple tree that in my mind would match my apartment living room. My mom thought it was strange that I was already thinking about designing my own apartment since I was only seventeen. I ended up buying the tree and decorating it myself. Interior design is something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life. I have always been the person to buy a shelf instead of a pair of jeans or new knobs for my dresser to give it a different look instead of buying a new purse. It is something that just clicked whenever I ended up buying my first bookshelf. It was something other than sports that I was really good at. Becoming an interior designer is my dream because at the end of the day I would leave happy, and hopefully I would be leaving whomever I had helped design their house into a home would be happy as well. Attending the University of Missouri is a must because not only do they have an outstanding art, and design program. It is also close to home. I come from a family that is very close with two working
