Structure and functionality

Level
Descriptor
Mark
Level 1
The microsite has a structure that does not fully address client requirements. It may not be logical (eg it may be difficult to find links to some pages or the user may need to drill down inappropriately such as from the Facilities page to the Workshops page). The site may not be fully functional (eg some links may be missing or broken).

The navigation does not fully address the client’s requirements (eg the hierarchy may not be as specified in the client brief, such as all pages being included on the navigation bar with no need to drill down).

Website success main part is the website navigation. Various parts of the content gateway are the website navigation. If the site does not have some sort of navigation, then it will lose all sense of structure and organization. The main thing is the access of your website from anywhere which is very important part of the success. The wonderful part of the website is to go to any page by clicking just two or three times and the main page access should be by one click. On one side of the screen there should be navigation bar.…

For a website to be successful, it is “essential to maximize both” (Beaird 5). I think Short Money’s website ignores the aesthetics and the users. The way their website is designed seems to be as “good enough.” What I mean is, the makers of the site went for a cheap route just to be online because there are no signs of “usability gurus” or focus on the appearance as they both are lacking. There are no neat features that make the site quicker to use and even the organization of the important links and texts are out of place at best. “Overall, ‘website searching is a goal-oriented activity’, and the different elements must cooperate for the website to function correctly (Zhang et al. 78). This cannot be done without an effective design” (Ricard 5). The users came to the site with a goal in mind: to find the company’s phone number, to make a reservation, etc. Customers have a sense of immediacy that makes them feel entitled to a quick answer or acquirement of most products and services. This can only be attained if the website’s aesthetics and usability are utilized to their full…

The Tube Map, formally known as the London underground map, is the map which represents the lines and stations of the London Underground - London's rapid rail transit system. It is a simplified map which is not strictly accurate in terms of geography, but effectively shows the relative position of stations through the graphical approach using representation of artificially straitened route lines which are placed vertical, horizontal and diagonally, each line is represented by a color.…
