Love Foretells Everything
Gabriel Garcia Marquez is a latin american author who has shown different ways of valuable life lessons in his work. In both Gabriel's novels "The memories of my melancholy whores and of love and other demons" contribute to the love that both men in each story found within very distinguished situations. Gabriel's style in both stories are different by having distinct word choice; persuading the reader through imagery that is being used in a contrasting way to tell what is going on. In "memories of my melancholy whorse" a ninety year old man meets a fourteen year old girl in a brothel led by his friend Rosa Cabaracas. For instance "the more he thought about her the stronger his desire grew". As father Cayetano spent time with her and giving her small details like a vase of gardenias. Although the bishop was thrown off with how Cayetano had known her before he had met her through a dream. By this understanding it proves that love can occur in any current situation no matter the circumstance. Gabriel's style in memories of my whores is more of a desperate approach wanting a young virgin adolescent. He uses very detailed imagery through the emotions that the ninety year old man was going through. Delgadina was his answer into appreciating life and what he did not have. Where as in love of other demons he writes more of a religion aspect and terror within a young girl who is innocent. The imagery and word choice in this novel he is contemplating life on how those who will stick around are the ones who care and know you
