On 03/11/17, at 7:48pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to 900 Midland Ave on a dog’s at large, patrol only. I arrived in the area and drove around. I was driving southbound on Midland Ave when two grey and white pit bull run in front of my vehicle; I stopped my vehicle and took pictures of the dogs loose. The dogs ran northbound on Midland Ave. I turned my vehicle around to give chase. The dogs were let into 900 Midland Ave by unknown juveniles. I approached the house and knocked on the door. An unknown female and dog keeper Haley Stanley came out of the house. I advised them of the situation and that I needed to talk to the dog owner. I was advised that the dog owner wasn’t home. I advised the unknown female and Ms. Stanley…
Sammy Saunders, was a young boy, about 5 foot 2, with a mop of brown hair that was always sticking out on the sides. He wore thick glasses that made his eyes pop out of his head, and he had a nose that looked as though it was pointing at you. He always wore the same pair of blue sneakers that had a blood stain on the toe from when Big Billy Benson punched him in the nose, causing it to bleed. Poor Sammy was always bullied because, he was just a little bit different than the rest of the kids at Sleepy Hollow Middle School.…
16) The events that occur from the end of glycolysis through the first reaction of the Krebs cycle is that first pyruvic acid enters the mitochondria by removing carbon and two oxygen. Later when the carbon dioxide is removed, energy is released and NAD+ is converted into NADH. Coenzyme A then attaches to the remaining acetyl forming acetyl CO.…
Days and nights would pass by with Barbara unable to spot any difference in between. The routine had been formed; she’d wake up, go to work, visit the elderly house, return home to sleep. Repeat. Barbara at the age of 30 was worn out and exhausted. Her mother’s death had scarred her deeply, her children hated her and her husband had left her for some woman he had found at some bar.…
“Wow sounds like this was starting to get interesting. So who was Darcy and what did they tell Fisk that lead to all of this?” Terry asked.…
Cynthia has been motivating and inspiring people to strive to reach their full potential all the while not fully believing she could do it for herself. She started her career in corporate America and spent the first 20 years in accounting. She then entered full time ministry in 1993 and received her license to preach the gospel in 1997.…
On the first day of practice he introduced himself as “Jimmy Johnson” our defense line coach. He had a beer belly and glasses and slick wet hair and nappy eye brows and an itchy musty beard. His breath smelled like dog liver. My first impression of him is he just looks weird and mean. We began practice we ran around cones. We went over plays. Where we should line up according to the offense. Coach Johnson always thought he knew what is best for us. He would have running like slaves on D’jango. Coach ran the soles off my cleats. After all this running, my girdle begun chafing creating a rash like an unchanged baby. My feet would always hurt after practice. Looking down my feet was throbbing like a heartbeat. We would run all the lines on the…
On Monday, January 30, 2017, I interviewed Veronica Galvez and through the interview, I learned about Veronica’s life, her experience in the communication program, and her life outside of the program. Through this report, I will interpret her responses to a serious of questions that guided her to inform me about her life, her experience in the communication program, and her life outside of the program. I want to note that my interpretation of her responses may not be exact, still, I hope to depict the true Veronica Galvez.…
I moved from Detroit, MI to Ypsilanti, MI, for a better living. It was December 29, 2008. I had just given birth to my daughter. My daughter was born at 9:45p.m, weighing 5lbs and 3ounces. I named my daughter Saphira Parthenia Franks. Saphira died at 36 weeks, due to still born. The doctor told me” Sometimes this happens without a reason and you will be able to have more children”. I already had my mind made up, that I would wait until I turn thirty to have another baby. I was heartbroken and disgusted with myself. I was already going insane from the deaths of my father in November 2006 and my grandma in July 2008. Therefore, I was not able to cope with their three deaths at once.…
When entering a new school, you meet new people, and they judge on your first appearance, they go on how you dress, what brand you’re wearing, how much you have, how you look, if you’re pretty or ugly and if you’re fat or skinny, and tall or short. This is how Gabrielle Flores story went.…
We rushed out of the door as we felt relieved that the horrifying experience was finally over, but it was definitely worth the long, but seemingly short wait into the asylum. Every Halloween, my mom and I will return to the Baldwin Asylum. We will always remember the fear that ran throughout our veins before we take our first step into the darkness once again.…
“I got this! I got this! Just calm down and take position. You have prepared yourself for this race all morning.” “Just take your position and breathe.” “Why is my heart pounding like this?” “Inhale and exhale.” This is normal for UWA freshman Sarah McMillion on race day. She constantly overthinks and worries about her performance. Her nerves even cause her to wake up early to prepare.…
Two years ago, on a cold Saturday morning, I prepared for my first ever track tryout. I took a shower, put on my clothes, and got into the car. On my way to practice, I felt strong physically, but I also had an undefined, jittery feeling about how the day was going to go.…

This trauma was something she would have to deal with for a big part of her life. While in her recovery process, she would have to learn how to let go of the fear of someone coming into her room and touching her while she was sleeping; and also learn how to sleep with the door unlocked, and even eventually with it open. The physical pain she would develop in her childhood would last a lifetime, from curling up…
