Considering how Gagnon wishes to assemble a team who will work collaborate with each other to reach completion of 8 to 15 homes per year I would suggest Gagnon to research Tuckman’s stages of group development and follow the steps to the point. Doing so will allow him to find the most efficient team members which their contribution will be invaluable. The steps are as followed: The Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing.
The Forming allows Gagnon to evaluate who would best mesh with the group that he sees in his vision and effectively weed out anyone who might be questionable as an employee. Once they’ve formed their group he can then laydown the guidelines and his vision of what he sets out to accomplish. This often leads to the next step which is storming. As long as the resources are available and the employees utilize the tools that are given to them this practice would prevent any failure meeting the annual quota Gagnon set for himself. The expectancy of results would be having the employees replicating the same quality of work that they were hired for and continue to display the willingness to accomplish the task at hand with 100% effort. The Legal binding contract from contractor to employees will ensure the hired workers cannot go through any loopholes by not exerting the effort that was required of them before being hired onto the team. This will set a guideline to follow and the employees need to make use of their time and giving them the incentive to work
