Galileo Galilei was born in Pisa, Italy on the 15 of February 1564 and he died in January 8th 1642. He was the first of 6 children that Vincenzo Galilei had. Galileo was an astronomer, mathematician, a philosopher and an inventor. He was also a musician. He studied medicine first then he studied mathematics. He was very intelligent, that is one of the main reasons he became famous. Although back then people believed the sun moved around the planets, Galileo was brave enough to prove them wrong by saying that the solar system moved arount the sun. He did not. He only improved it a lot. In the late summer of 1608, q new invention appeared. It was the spyglass. It helped you see objects better and bigger. Galileo was sure he could imprive the spyglass so he got to work. His telescope was l=similar to how a pair of opera glasses work. His first version of the improved spyglass was only imporved to let people see to the eighth power. But his versions improved. Galiloețs telescope was now able to magnify 10 times more than a perosn cold see. Galileo invented the the thermoscope, an earlier version of a thermometer. He aslo improved the millitary compass. Galileo discovered the Milky Way. Galileo’s discoveries impacted the world. . Galileo discovered that the natural state of objects is not at rest, it is moving. His inventions and discoveries impacted the world a lot because without them, today we would not know as much about science and we would not have been able to use Galileo’s information and objects invented or improved. Galileo’s main impact on the world is the improvement of the telescope, and him being the first one to use it and discover what nobody had ever discovered before.
