Gallipoli First Speech
Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen, It is an honour to stand here before you to share with you the insights of my experiences at Gallipoli. I, Raymond Vernon Baldock was part of the 7th Australian Infantry Battalion Unit and served as part of the Australian Army to fight in the Gallipoli War. Born in 1894 in Jeparit, Victoria. I still remember it clearly; the wind blew against my cheek as I stepped off the boat onto shore. Nerves ran down my spine and I thought to myself, that there was no turning back now. I signed up for this and that my country back home were all watching and I had to do them proud.
