1. What was the principle or personal lesson that Gandhi taught his Christian clergyman friend, from the clergyman’s own law?
Gandhi taught many lessons to his Christian clergyman friend, but the principal was probably that the lesson taught in the bible need it to be implemented in real life, on each act of our life and not only be preach.
2. What was the irony of Gandhi fighting for Indian freedom while dealing with a caste system mentality in his own home?
As he was “fighting” freedom for his country from the British Empire, India was struggling with the discrimination that they own caste system infringed over the ones denominated “untouchables”, which showed Gandhi and his movement as a double standard revolution.
3. How important was the development of transparency in his meetings, life, and decision making? Relate this to the meaning of the term “Ashram.”
He was very focus and clear as far as his idea of a free India, however he was not willing to reach this freedom at any cost, but only through a pacific and unified way. In order to achieve this goal he promoted the “Ashram” concept, which could be applied from a humble room to as he said the entire heaven, this concept looked for the Indi population to increase meditation and self-sustain life style that will allow them to avoid the British’s products consumption.
4. Why was it vital that Gandhi become better at agitating the crowd?
His credibility reach points never saw before at India, he concentrated his speech on the poor, which were (and are) a vast majority in India and kept himself distanced from the politics, this helped him to become an icon for the country and ultimate to the world.
