Gang Violence And Extortion Paper
The issues in an immigrant-dense area of Anaheim area are gang violence and extortion in the community. Gang members are extorting money and threatening violence on residents in the area. Nevertheless, knowing that as immigrants, they aren’t comfortable with going to the police for help due to fear of deportation, however, they do not feel safe in their living conditions. Together gang violence and extortion are very relevant in the community because parents aren’t leaving their children without supervision, in fear of having their children join gangs or get caught in the hostile environment.
