Homosexual The concept of a traditional marriage has changed over the time, and the definition of marriage also. The definition of marriage varies with culture and views. For example, marriage is a union of a man and woman. On the other hand, a controversial point of view is that 'marriage is the union of two people, despite the gender, who have committed to romantically loving and caring for each other. Recently, same-sex marriage has been legalized in many countries, because many people have started claiming their rights of legal marriage since 2001. Proponents of same- sex marriage claim that the homosexuals should have a right to marry. Traditional marriage should
be supported as a basic unit to build society. Therefore, I will discuss the homosexual rights to legally marry, benefits of marriage, and equality of rights with heterosexual. Critics say that the homosexuals should have the right to marry legally.
Because the government should ensure an equality between the citizen. So, they want to have their civil rights. Indeed, I think they deserve to be equal to heterosexuals. Because they are paying taxes to build roads and schools; they help the society as the heterosexuals, so they should be afforded the same rights. In fact, if governments legalize this marriage that will negatively affect the individual and society. For example, the society consists of a group of people. That means, any increasing proportion of homosexuals will affect the others. Which leads to many women without men. Moreover, we anticipate that the number of children will decline because the same-sex marriage cannot produce the
children. Proponents of the same-sex marriage claim that the homosexuals are happier than heterosexuals. In fact, the majority of them are happier than others. Because they are of the same gender, which means they have the same tendencies, and the same characteristics, so they understand each other. But they deny that differences between women and men are very necessary. Physical, psychological, and emotional are complementary to each other of marriage. The human dream is freedom and equality, to every individual in the world.
With this dream, most proponents of same-sex marriage say that homosexual should support and protect their marriage as much as the heterosexuals. In fact, denying this right leads to many cases of abuse or violence homosexuals have faced. Admittedly, this prejudice and discrimination put many homosexuals into risk and will promote much violence in the society. However, there are numerous ways to ensure security their relationship. But if the government legalizes this relationship, I presume that in the future many people will claim about
incest. In conclusion, every individual has a right to live as he or she wants. In my essay, I discussed the homosexual rights in the legal marriage, benefits their marriage, and equality of rights with heterosexual. There is a huge a misunderstanding in this issue. Equality for homosexuals needs to be balanced with preserving different kinds of relationship with respect and acceptance to them, but we must support the single most important social structure in society and the best guarantee for the survival of humanity.
