Instructor course GAY MARRIAGE SHOULD BE LEGALIZED Gay marriages have been a subject of discussion all over the world, the issue being whether these marriages should be legalized or not.
A gay marriage is one that involves a commitment between two people of the same sex. It is mostly referred to as domestic partnership. To come to a conclusion whether gay marriages should be legalized or not, it’s only fair to look at the pros and cons. Gay marriages should be legalized because every person has a right to choose who to marry despite of the sex. When these marriages are made illegal, then this is discrimination. These people should enjoy equal rights as the heterosexual couples. They should have a right to hold a ceremony and get married .Another reason why gay marriages should be legalized is to separate the church and the government. Just because the church says that homosexual marriages are morally wrong does not allow the denial of a civil right. The church has its views but they should not be used as the sole reason to discriminate those that do not agree. Same sex marriages have no effect on the heterosexual marriages. There is therefore no reason as to why these marriages should be made illegal. Those who prefer heterosexual marriages will carry on with their marriages normally even when same sex marriages are legal.
GAY MARRIAGE SHOULD BE LEGALIZED
Just because the heterosexual supporters do not share the same views as the same sex marriage supporters is not grounds to completely deny anyone their freedom. There are many reasons why people get married. Some get married for love, others companionship and others for procreation. Allowing marriage solely for procreative reasons is therefore wrong. The law should not restrict marriage for procreation only because these is discriminating and denial of a civil right. Gay couples get married for
