Research Essay

Why should gay marriages be legalized? There are multiple opinions and open views on gay marriage. The argument regarding gay marriage should be legalized, or not is profoundly controversial. According to the article from the Human Rights Campaign, there is nothing erroneous with sanctioning homosexuals to have the matching rights as those who are heterosexual. Every person should be granted the same rights, regardless of sexual feelings. Gay marriage should be legalized in every states and countries; it has been placed on hold for too long. Moreover, there are many reasons why homosexuals feel vigorously about wanting to be licitly espoused. One reason that is most commonly aurally perceived is, they choose to licitly show their love for one of another by having a marriage license. Homosexuals want the right to advocate like anybody else, and for the same reasons additionally. They are in love and desire to spend their lives with this person. Even though it is credible to do this without being espoused; “they want to accolade their relationship in the best way our society has to offer”. There be no reason two people cannot espouse despite their sexuality. If a man and woman get to espouse because they cherish each other, what is the distinguishing between a man and a man or a woman and a woman wanting to espouse because, they cherish each other? Withal, another cause why homosexuals want the right to espouse their spouse is because they are being scammed of rights. Although, two people love each other, if they cannot espouse they are losing rights. Same-sex marriage gives both spouses benefits, same-sex couples in long-term, committed relationships pay higher taxes and are gainsaid rudimental aegis and rights granted to espouse heterosexual couples. It is inequitable to couples of the same-sex to lose rights predicated on the desire. They are gainsaid rights such as hospital visitation,

When the young Amorite Hammurabi transformed the seemingly minute part of Mesopotamia, he had to do something that no other leader had done before; use writing to persuade and convey power. He first did so in writing essentially using it as a weapon against his stronger neighbors in such a way that would rage war with one another to weaken them all the while making him a stronger more powerful leader. Although Babylon was a rather small city in Mesopotamia, Hammurabi used deceit to build what is known as the Old Babylonian Empire. Hammurabi built his empire in a non-confrontational way through the Code of Hammurabi and the unification of religion under Marduk, the ruler-god.…

All men were created equal. It is for this reason that gays have the same rights when it comes to housing, jobs, protection under the law, and so on, despite their difference in sexual preference. Well then, if gays have the same rights as heterosexual men and women, why can they not be legally married in the U.S? That is the question that half our country should be asking themselves, since 50% of U.S citizens oppose gay marriage. However, extraordinarily, 75% of the people in the U.S are all for gay rights (Bidstrup). But, when it comes to marriage, for one reason or another, the line is drawn. Gay relationships are the same as straight relationships in all aspects except for the fact that they involve two members of the same gender. Both participants in gay relationships are loyal to their significant others, have strong family lives, are committed to their communities, and follow the law. Gay marriage should be legal in the U.S due to the simple, but often ignored, fact that homosexuality is more about being in love and showing affection towards one another as it is about sex. As is the case with heterosexuals, sex is just a way of gays to show their significant others that they do indeed love each other. Despite many people's opinions that gay sex is disgusting, homosexuality is part of a gay's identity. It's impossible to ask a homosexual to change his sexual preference just because some ignorant people disagree with the way they live out their life. There are an endless number of reasons that gay sex should be legalized in the U.S. In actuality, many of the reasons that people oppose gay marriage are unreasonable and unrealistic.…

Try to imagine life in a society that refuses individuals to marry who they love. Imagine people being around their partners, but not having the legal rights to call them their wives or husbands. The fact of the matter is one does not have to try to imagine this because this is the state of current society. People can argue about whether church and state should be separated, the banning of polygamy, and not legalizing gay marriage, but the major importance is the institution of love (Sullivan). Gay marriage should not be opposed, but embraced by society with joy. Gay marriage should be legalized in the United States because denying this right is unfair and unconstitutional; marriage is not about money or judgment of society, but about a couple’s love for each other, and it will help reduce or solve social problems.…

As of November 20, 2014, same –sex marriage has been legalized in 35 out of 50 U.S. states. Same-sex marriage is a hot topic which the Supreme Court is considering to legalize. Many people say a homosexual person is a sinner. The question is do homosexual people choose his or her gender? They were born that way and they are happy with their lives. Homosexual people are nothing unlike heterosexual people. They are living, they are working, and they contribute to society. Proponents state that same-sex couples should have access to the same marriage benefits and public acknowledgment enjoyed by heterosexual couples and that prohibiting gay marriage is unconstitutional discrimination. On the other side, opponents argue that altering the traditional definition of marriage as between a man and a woman will further weaken a threatened institution and that legalizing gay marriage is a slippery downhill way that may lead to polygamous and interspecies marriages (gaymarriage.procon.org). All people in the world should understand the meaning of marriage, whether a same-sex marriage or a traditional marriage. For that reason, same-sex marriage should be considered as a legal marriage because it is an equal right for humankind and beneficial for society as well as preventing youth suicide.…

Should Gay Marriage be Legalized? Gay marriage has been a critical topic in many countries since 1924. Around the year 2000, countries such as America and the UK started approving gay marriages, although not everyone agreed with this decision. Still in 2013, homosexuals are fighting for their right to get married to someone of their same sex. People against gay marriage feel that if it was to be legalized, the importance of marriage would fade away and some people would refer to marriage in a different way. According to an article from the Human Rights Campaign, there is nothing wrong with allowing homosexuals to have the same rights as those who are heterosexual. Every individual person should have equal rights, regardless of sexuality. Gay marriage should be legalized in all states and countries, as it has been held off for too long.…
