from the previous book If I Stay. One example of Adam acting very calm is, when he meets Mia for the first time in three years. When he embarked on walk in New York he found himself at Carnegie Hall. When Mia asked to see him after the show he couldn't believe it, but he kept his “cool” acted as if he hasn’t thought of her every second for three years. “You’ve ruined me. Are you okay? But of course, I can’t say any of that” (Forman 53). Adam is also very careless with his actions. When he was getting interviewed with a reporter, he completely lost it and smashed her recorder all because of a question about Mia. His actions were very careless and hasty. Lastly, along with being calm and careless Adam is very thoughtful. A couple examples of this are when, Adam and Mia meet again for the first time in a while, he doesn’t ask right away why she broke up with him. Instead, he waits and doesn’t ruin the moment with her. Also towards the end of the book, when Adam and Mia are making plans for the future he considers not going on the tour just to stay with her. Overall, the character Adam Wilde is a very calm, careless, and thoughtful individual. Along with evaluating characters, one create questions about the book.
While reading Where She Went one can generate many questions throughout the book.
For example, why doesn’t Adam like being a huge star? Wouldn't anyone want that? I believe that Adam is not happy with his new life because, his new life doesn’t have Mia in it. He’s sad and lonely without her. He feels very diffident in this life. “...feels like I’m already all on my lonesome. Me alone in a soundproof booth” (Forman 9). Second, why did Mia breakup with Adam? Why did she just one day stop talking to him? I think she just cut him off one day because, it was hard for her to deal with the past and relive what happened to her. Finally, why is Shooting Star (Adam’s band) against him? Why is the band essentially not together? I think their not together or not friends because Adam was the star of the band. Their were jealous of him and what he had. Overall the reader can produce many questions. Besides evaluating and questioning the novel, the reader can also predict what could happen
next.
Once the book ended I instantly wanted to know what happened next. First I predict that Adam will quiet the band because he wants to be with Mia. He knows this life just isn't for him. Also I predict that Adam and Mia will stay together for a long time because of their past and everything they've been through. They're basically indomitable because of the events that have occurred. I also predict that Mia might become a famous cellist. I think this because, if Adam stops being a star then I believe that the author would make Mia become the new star. “It all starts tomorrow, the shows, the tours, different countries” (Forman 82). All in all, the reader can predict many ideas throughout the book.
Consequently the reader can evaluate the characters, question information, and predict future events. In conclusion, Adam finally meets Mia after three years, and finally gets to be with her again.
Self Score: I think I should get a 9.3/10 because I tried to use more transitions and increase my sentence length.
