I prepared two waffles for my son whose name is Jamison, I also prepared a waffle for my daughter whose name is Laura. At 10:00am the woke up and rushed quickly down the stairs in excitement ready for their breakfast. They quickly ate and began to sprint to the bright yellow school bus that was going to take them to school safely here and back.

Finally it was to check the weekly mail that was to be delivered to our house. It was my job to take the mail and retrieve it back to our house. I usually read some of the mail back to the house considering that the mailbox is far away. I saw a special letter in dark red that had a big folded envelope saying that I was to get the following together and fight for our country it also tells me the position I will be playing it says “Lawrence you will take the role of being apart of the first lines men.” I were to be in the front row and fight.

This year they will be terrified and worried about me and this may be my last christmas. This may be the end for Lawrence Tanner. As I arrive at my house in disappointment and fear. I walk in with a frown with tears slowing dripping down my face. My wife Samantha approaches me and asks. “What's the matter? Is anything wrong.” “I’m being called to defend my country said Lawrence.” Lawrence starts struggling to breath and tries to breathe in

We all learned in elementary school that the suns provide nutrients and components that help plans grow. “As the name implies, photosynthesis is a process that uses light energy to synthesize something.” (Mauseth, 2014) That process is called photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process where plants use light energy from the sun. If we break the word up photo has the definition of light and synthesis means putting together. It provides the necessary sources of energy that both animals and plants need to survive. There are important factors that help photosynthesis, water, light and carbon dioxide. There isn’t much to be seen from the ships as we are so far out, but from what was coming back from the landing, not much was to be imagined. Wounded men were pouring off the sets of rowboats being pulled by the steamboats. Many of the soldiers were unrecognisable.…

In a few years from now, I would really like to open up some sort of cafe, specifically a boba shop. I would like for it to be located in California, specifically Southern California so it can compete with other boba shops. The menu would be filled with a variety of milk teas, flavored teas, and lattes that can be paired with various toppings such as boba, grass jelly, egg pudding, different popping boba flavors, and an array of different fruit jellies. I would also like to serve small desserts on the side, such as macarons, mille crepe cakes, and brick toast. As for the cafe itself, I would like for it to have a cozy yet minimalistic vibe from the decor. In other terms, white…

The date was June 14, 2034. I was flying to London, England with my private jet. It was a beautiful day. The clouds were puffy and white, the sun was shining, and there was no wind. Then all of a sudden, there was a lot of turbulence. The plane was going crazy going left, then right, then back to the left. My pilot told me to not panic and that everything is going to be fine, but I was having cold feet. The turbulence became so wild, the pilot announced that the plane will have to land on the nearest ground.…

I find great interest in the Egyptian culture. The culture goes back through time. Sayre (2013) stated, “Egypt’s continuous cultural tradition—lasting over 3,000 years—is history’s clearest example of how peace and prosperity go hand in hand with cultural stability” (p. 28).…

My name is Guy Johanson, and I am a sophomore Music Education major at the Setnor School of Music. I am originally from Liverpool, NY, just outside of Syracuse. I have been involved with Syracuse University since the time I was in middle school participating in youth ensembles playing the French Horn and the Oboe. Currently I am a member of the Syracuse University Marching Band, Tau Beta Sigma (the national band sorority), and am usually playing with many ensembles around campus. I work at Old Navy in Destiny USA during school breaks, while during the school year I work at the Cathedral Academy at Pompey as an after school music program teacher. My strongest skill that I possess, I believe, is my ability to time manage. Throughout the past year and a half, I have learned to balance 19+ credits, sorority involvement, and working two jobs during the year.…

The event that most interested me was the slave trader video. How they took a prince and broke him. He still was able to survive and still run a plantation just like the tribe he was from. It must take a lot of self will to survive in the conditions they were put in on the boat, then to get off and still be no better than cattle. Though slavery was equally as tragic and traumatic for black men and women, the experience of slavery affected them in different ways. "Depending upon their age and gender, slaves were assigned a particular task, or tasks, that had to be completed during the course of the day." In certain settings, men would participate in the hard labor, such as working on the farm, while women would generally work in the household. They would "be sent out on errands, but in most cases their jobs required that they spend much of their time within their owner's household." These gender distinctions were mainly applied in the Northern colonies and on larger plantations. In Southern colonies and smaller farms, however, women and men typically engaged in the same roles, both working in the tobacco crop fields.…
