1. Write an Essay
In this activity, you will apply the ideas you have learned in the lesson and develop a well-organized essay. Choose one of the three essay options listed—persuasive, literary, or narrative—and then follow these steps to write your essay:
Select an appropriate topic.
Collect all the necessary information, facts, and data related to your topic.
Draft an outline for your essay. For a persuasive or a literary essay, organize your materials into a five-paragraph essay structure (introduction, three-paragraph body, and conclusion).
Write the essay as outlined.
Proofread your work to check for spelling or grammatical errors.
Your essay should be well organized with a clear focus and logical development. Use the checklist at the end of this document to review your work and polish your writing.
