1)Monique Ohsan Bellepeau was a journalist and a news announcer on the national TV channel, the
MBC
was a member of the Mauritian Labor Party & later became the President of the Party. won the parliamentary elections & was appointed as Vice President on 12
November 2010. elected to be become the first female Vice President of Mauritius.
She is Vice President of Mauritius since 2010.
She was also acting President of Mauritius from 31 March 2012 to 21 July
2012.
She was succeeded as President by Kailash Purryag in July 2012.
She was also awarded the title of Grand Officer of the Star and Key of the
Indian Ocean (GOSK). 3

2) Sheilabai Bappoo
18 years of career as Minister
Worked in Ministry of Women Right's, Ministry of
Labour, Ministry of Social Security among many others.
Highly regarded as a politician
One of the highest ranked female politicians in the country. In 2007, Bappoo was promoted to rank of Grand Officer of the Star and Key of Indian Ocean (GOSK).
She resigned from the Labour party in 2015 due to heath problems

Mauritius
During the last elections, she was elected
1st Member of Constituency No 8
December 2014 she was appointed as the
Minister of Education and Human
Resources, Tertiary Education and Scientific

Became also a Member of Parliament as from 22 December 2014.
