Gender Roles In Ancient China
The gender roles in modern day America are similar and different from ancient China. Women’s roles in ancient China have changed over time. Education has played a part in changing roles. Roles in ancient China also impacted the type of dress for each gender. While gender roles have shifted and changed over time, some gender roles still remain constant.
Life of women in ancient China is somewhat different from life of women today in modern day America. In ancient China women did not have the same rights as men. Men got to choose where they wanted to work but women did not have those same rights. They were limited to what they wanted to do. Women also had to do all the work around the house. They had to clean, cook, and take care of their children. This is somewhat different than life of women today in modern America because women did not have as many rights. But it began getting easier for women to take care of children, because schools were getting better and more advanced. …show more content…
Since little girls in ancient China receive the same education as little boys, this has caused a shift in gender roles over time. In modern America, a shift has occurred too. In ancient China, most kids never got a chance to go to school at all. Today, all around the world children of all different genders go to school. To help them in school they have iPads, laptops, smart boards, textbooks, dry erase boards, and so much more. Men and women are also working as teachers in the schools. Back then women did not go to schools with the men. They made it equal for girls and women by also letting thm go to school, and learn like the boy’s did. Women get to teach in schools and girls got to go to school just like the boys so everyone not gets an equal
