Ancient Egypt’s society was also very different to current day times, they had a ‘Class System’, which put everyone in order, from lowest power (Farmers & Slaves) to highest (Pharaoh), their class also determined how rich or poor they were, what their occupation was (scribes, priests, craftsmen), their power, how they were treated, and even what they wore. Although you were born into a “Class”, it was not impossible to work your way up into other classes but it was certainly rare. Just because you were born a farmers son didn’t mean that you couldn’t go to school and learn a trade, as long as your family had managed to save lots of money to send you.
