Gender Stereotypes In The Movie Mulan

This was such a creative post! I absolutely love how you used songs from the movie Mulan. I have never really thought about all of the gender stereotypes that are presented in the music of that movie until now. For the first song, I think you are absolutely right in your interpretation. If I remember correctly as the song is ending Mulan has completed an physical obstacle that most men could not in the movie. I think it is a good song for the empowerment of women, showing that women can be strong too. I also think it stereotypes men as well, like you have stated, it says that if men are not strong enough for war then they should be considered to be like a woman and sent home.
