General Nature Poems
Latasha's Nature Poems

An erotic lightning bolt rushes shyly rambling with burnt intesity and roaming quietly in pain.
Winters sun sleeps quietly in shades of blue, when nature rests in spontaneity.
Nighttime pastes yellow shades, and buds open for summer rays and the night revolves in silence.

A gusting summer's morning prances masterfully raging with reddened energy and squirming gently in happiness.
And autumn sighs softly into chilly air, and time reclines in virtue.
A wintry wind now tosses indigo screens , that call to me and the wind whispers into a breeze.

A singing geyser rumbles theatrically wishing in fearful vanity and howling brightly in happiness.
Whilst falling autumn cries softly in the starlit night, and day relaxes in determination.
The Moon cries in blue tints , spreading opulently past the stars and angels dance in the moonlight.

The thrusting wind roars alarmedly quailing in flamed dismay and drifting gently in passion.
Whilst searing summer dances sadly into chilly air, and age rots in tenacity.
The night casts orange lines , that bluster in the wind and sunset settles below the horizon.

A flying falcon sings nostalgically leaning with bloated arrogance and purring gently in pain.
Whilst sodden autumn laughs into the morning, when morning dances with righteousness.
An Autumn gust throws green wisps , life nurtured and renewed and clouds billow like giant sails across a thundrous sky.

A moaning canyon rides naively braying in honeyed arrogance and cackling softly in pleasure.
Whilst bright summer bows down into chilly air, and time dreams in decadence.
The Spring moon smears crimson lattice , a slight chill rises and nature rises majestically.

The praying lion prays daringly soaring in startled impulse and screaming loudly in pleasure.
Whilst sodden autumn sleeps to the heavens, whilst fear sleeps with resolution.

It was a deceptively beautiful summer night in the month of July; Resplendent and artistic to people with discerning tastes and sensibilities. The sky was ornamented by splendiferous celestial beings. The waning moon was accessorized by the clouds, suspended mid-air in a picturesque, aesthetic fashion, wanting to augment the peculiarly blissful setting. The violet sky couldn’t have been any more sublime.…

deep breathing and first light revelations I. prelude the grapefruit and lemon colored sunrise assures creation of angels and eulogies and obituaries and it guarantees life, it guarantees death something about seeing that the newspaper isn’t delivered by a teenage boy on a red bike, but rather a middle-aged man in a shoddy car is disappointing, to say the least the clouds and sweet morning air, the kind that feels like charcoal on skin and tastes like chemicals and ice shards lodged in your throat sits heavily on my chest and something about this kind of morning, this 5 am feeling of regret and anxiety, a gentle anxiety nonetheless reminds me that autumn is cold and paperboys can’t just go around freezing on an old bike and not everything…

In ‘The Outside Dog’ Alan Bennett fastidiously explores some of the obscure predicaments that marriages face. In all of Bennett’s monologues he eloquently uncovers many of the glitches and hegemonic stereotypes that society has to deal with. In ‘The Outside Dog’ Bennett discloses many themes within marriage including how far will a partner go in order to protect their loved one ?, and the question of ‘Love or infatuation’, are they still together due to their long and happy years so far or is it more to do with the intimacy and the feeling of being looked after, fed and having your laundry done for you. Marjory is a previous school teacher who has submitted to becoming a normal housewife where she is looking after her Husband and their pet…

It is clear to see in both below the green corrie and in the prelude that Norman MacCaig and William Wordsworth both show a strong relationship between man and nature. In below the green corrie we see the narrator describe his experience of coming down a Scottish mountain range; he describes the mountains as highwaymen, pirates and bandits which makes nature more animated and entertains the reader, he also appears to take riches from the mountain.…

These poems are all written based off of my, Miciah’s, opinions. I have a distinct perspective on religion, therefore I chose to write a poem describing hate and love and how I thing religion is a dumb idea. My poem is titled “Hate and Love”, based off of the poem “Fire and Ice” by Robert Frost. In it I concur to what religion claims, symbolically saying that religion is wrong and not serious. I used the same exact syllables and rhyme scheme as “Fire and Ice” by Robert Frost. “Pie” is simply an original poem by me. It has no significant meaning what-so-ever. I also have a sense of humor therefore I wrote poems that are humorous yet meaningful if the reader decides to read deeper into the meaning of “Clothes”. In this poem I humanized clothes to the point where clothes are smart and can do actions. Again, if the reader reads deep into this poem, he/she can see that family is symbolized as the clothes. In the first two lines, the reader can read that “Family” (the clothes) keeps you from being embarrassed. I also wrote a short haiku titled “My Name Is”. I titled this after one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite rappers, “My Name Is” by Eminem. In this Haiku, based off of the original poem “After Basho” by Carolyn Kizer, I describe myself as a person that people who don’t know me well just see me as a kid by the name of Miciah. But for those who know me can call me “friend” whether or not they really are a good friend. This is based off of my first few weeks of high school here at Sacred Heart, a lot of people didn’t know me as a person but they knew of me/ just knew my name. I used the three unrhymed lines of five, seven and five syllables found in the haiku “After Basho” by Carolyn Kizer. “Once Called Home” is a meaningful poem that I related with my really years about my life before and during fostercare before I got adopted. This poem that I wrote is based off of “Tyger” by William Blake. I chose this poem as the model for…

During the poem limbo (by Edward kamau Brathwaite) is more of a cultural poem than a tradition. As the poem discribes a stressful and upseting time black people lived through. The way they were moved from Africa to America to the United Kingdom. In between the rows three to six, it repeats the same word again, this in my opinion indicates the ship swayimg in the sea. The way the humans underneath the half roted lank of wooden felt. This shows that they were kept under complete silence. Tied with metal chains, not a movement was made.…

I chose osmosis and diffusion because it is relevant to what we have learned over the past couple of weeks. As the lab manual defines, diffusion is the net movement of molecules from an area where they are high in number or concentration to an area of where they are less concentrated. Diffusion is important because it makes it possible for the random movement of molecules. After the diffusion process comes along two different types of transports; one is passive and one is active. Passive transport means that it is a natural process of diffusion and it does not need any extra energy from a cell. Active transport is the opposite in that energy is needed from a cell. Osmosis is brought into this because it is the movement of water molecules. When observed, there are two types to a solution: solute and solvent. The solute is a dissolved substance and the solvent is when the solute is dissolved. When you have more than one solution, you compare them to see if they are hypotonic, hypertonic, or isotonic. Hypotonic is when the other solution in comparison to the solution you are looking at is less solute. Hypertonic is explained as when one solution is more…

The world has come to a point where there is no turning back; where we can’t undo what is already done. We have forgotten the importance of the use of natural resources we need to survive. We have also forgotten our responsibility to the world, so that it can remain healthy and alive. I fear if we continue polluting our environment and not help it improve itself, we are going to have nothing towards the end. The world needs a better place for everyone to enjoy, no matter what living situation you are in. Everything relates to one another, water, air, energy, sun light, humans, and specially animals; we are all useful to one another. However, I believe that it is possible for us to improve our living situation, and make our world healthier to live in. It is not impossible to do, but if everyone is willing to work together and start making changes there will be a positive effect towards the world.…
