General Zaroff's Attacks: A Fictional Narrative
I spotted the light flickering by the doorway in the entry hall, signaling that someone was at the door. Another poor innocent soul, soon to be murdered by General Zaroff. I stepped up to the large wooden door, grabbed my black, long-barreled revolver and turned the brass knob. I looked upon the visitor with great curiosity, as he was naked. The revolver was pointed at his beating heart. His eyes showed a slight glimmer of fear, yet he gave a reassuring smile. His mouth began to move and I could only make out two words. Robber and yacht...
General Zaroff appeared to welcome the new guest. I could make out a few words that were being spoken but couldn’t process the conversation as I cannot hear sound and am unable to speak. They talked for about

Three young men on the run after robbing a Wells Fargo stage of $12,000 were hiding out in a lonely canyon in the western Panamints. With nothing much to do their talk turned to easy money, and the men decided to search the canyon for the Lost Gunsight lode. Logic would dictate that this was a waste of time and effort. Jim Martin had never passed this way. Concerned with his very survival, he would not have crossed the mountains here, in their highest and most rugged section. Nor, wherever he crossed, would he have doubled back into this rugged canyon. But the three robbers were not much burdened by logic, nor, in this instance, were they hampered by its lack. Luck they did have, and they located some very promising silver claims in the upper part of what was eventually named Surprise…

At approximately 2:30 in the afternoon, while patrolling a downtown beat in plain clothes, Detective McFadden observed two men (later identified as Terry and Chilton) standing on a street corner. The two men walked back and forth an identical route a total of 24 times, pausing to stare inside a store window. After the completion of walking the route, the two men would meet on the corner; on several occasions the two men were joined by a third man (Katz), who left very quickly. Detective McFadden had specifically worked this downtown beat for 30 years concentrating on shoplifters, pickpocketers and suspected the men were going to hold up the store. Detective McFadden approached the three men and asked them for their names. The men mumbled something and Detective McFadden spun Terry around, patted down the outside of his clothing and found a pistol. Detective McFadden was unable to remove the pistol and ordered all three men in the store, to stand against a wall with their hands up. Once in the store the Detective removed Terry’s overcoat and secured the firearm. The Detective performed the same pat down on Chilton and Katz, neither time putting his hands under the outer garments of the suspects, until he felt a gun and at which time he was removing the gun for his and others safety. Detective McFadden seized and removed a revolver from the outer garment of Chilton.…

General Zaroff is uncivilized because he does not value human life. He constantly uses others for his own enjoyment, with no regard for their well-being. For one thing, when Rainsford confronts Zaroff about his behavior, Zaroff argues that “‘Life is for the strong, to be lived by the strong, and, if needed, to be taken by the strong… I am strong. Why should I not use my gift?’” (8).…

My character is general zaroff he is insane, mental, and a human hunter. on my first quote to be a nice in the story when he gave Rainsford food, shelter, and clothing. he said '' you will be amused I know''. in that quote, he is mental because he is a human killer. During the story, he is also insane. he shows that by tell Rainsford that he kills people for fun. ''I've read your book about hunting snow leopard in Tibet'', he shows that he is a human hunter during the scene because he reads books about hunting to know more about it so that when he hunts humans it would not be that hard.Lastly, zaroff is also insane in the story.he is insane when he lets the dogs out to kill other people.'' you have won the game '', this part showed that he…

General Zaroff in the story “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell is a narcissistic-psychopathic devil. One quotes that shows this is when the General says, “I hunt the scum of the earth: sailors from tramp ships- lassars, blacks, chinese, whites, mongrels- a thoroughbred horse or hound is worth more than a score of them.” This shows that General Zaroff was narcissistic because all of the people he lists as scum of the Earth take up the entire population of the world. He believes that he is better and more powerful than anyone else and that is the personality of a narcissist. Traits of a psychopath include: inflated self-worth, need for excitement or often bored, manipulativeness, and lack of remorse or guilt. General Zaroff possesses…

The blur of blue caught my eye and I watch it bellow down the street relentlessly swallowing people and children, and then fading into the hazy distance. Another breed of the same species comes careening down the opposite side of the street, it’s screeching tires skid across the miserable cracks of cement, suddenly halting to a dramatic stop. The metallic fiend exhales and shudders, impatiently waiting to select the next poor soul for consumption. Its mouth opens wide with a deep sounding hiss, beckoning me forward with a breath of steamy air. The air is stale and it forces my eyes to cry. To escape I attempt to rush forward but a jolt of force sends me crashing into a fortified wall of steel. The tribute I am carrying in my left hand is instantly relinquished as a result of the crash and I scramble on the floor for a minute before retrieving it. I solemnly stare at the crumpled dollar bill I hold between my fingers for I know this spoiled hell of a machine will never accept such lowly currency!…

    1) The story opens with two robberies at the narrator’s house.
