A Sufficient Taste of warfare: Examining a passage from Generals Die in Bed Throughout the selected passage, from Charles Yale Harrison 's Generals Die in Bed, there is clear evidence of the purpose, descriptive imagery, and the authors intriguing style. It displays the lethal truths about combat in the trenches during world war 2 as the main character known as Young, takes the reader through his first struggle in the foxhole. After getting a comprehensive understanding of the chosen passage, the purpose stands out as an important component. ' 'We don 't care. Harrison 's tone comes across as serious and realistic which is suitable for the selected paragraphs. He displays how clever he is through unique scenarios that are considerably possible. Although some of his lines like ' 'A piece of mud flies into my mouth. It is cool and refreshing.
