Genesis chapters 1-11, contains ground work for many Christian’s worldview today. In these first few chapters of Genesis faith and understanding in regards to the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and civilization. A few of the key events are creation story, the fall of man, and the spread of civilization. The lessons in these important chapters are imperative to helping us comprehend how we are to interpretation the world around we live in.
Natural World

Genesis 2:18 says, “Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” In this scripture we see the beginning of God establishing human relationships. This verse also shows that we were designed to have relationships with one another. Genesis 2:24 says, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” God also finds it important to share with us the value of marriage. Eve was made from Adams rib, show how close God wanted marriage to be. Furthermore, marriage should be between one man and one women. We should also reflect on the story of Cain and Abel. “In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground, and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering, but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell (Genesis 4:3-5). Cain killed his brother Abel. Each new chapter brings about a new lesson that should affect our worldview. Genesis chapter 1-11 was God breathed to teach us numerous things about he intended the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and civilization to be. God has already gives us the answers concerning all ethical values, questions on life, death, heaven, and hell, spiritual apprehensions, and individual principles. If we, as Christians, allow these scriptures to shape our worldview then we will completely be walking out the divine destiny God has planned for
