One of the main concerns is how will it change our society's features. Most likely this will affect our society in a negative way. The average cost for this procedure is around $50,000 which is about what the average family makes in a year. Meaning only the wealthy could afford such procedures to make their children more advanced than others. This could lead to different social classes over the years. One social class would be the genetically modify who will be rich and exceed because they have the traits to make them successful. The second calls will be the non-genetically modified who will probably be poor because they do not have all the advanced skills that genetically modified people have. Some other issues with having designer babies are it could affect the gene pool negatively. If more than half of the population choose to just have males, then the male gene pool would be over populated. The reason why the male gene pool can not be overpopulated is because if there are not enough females then males will have no one to produce with and if there is no one to produce with then bye bye to the human
