Describe the case of Genie. What happened to her? Why is this case important? The case of Genie is about how a little toddler had an extreme isolation in her earliest months, it is likely how she was restrained and reflected. Genie was kept in a back bedroom tied to a toilet chair for twelve years. She received a stimulation of any kind and was only given baby food to eat. Genie was discovered when she was a preteen. They have noticed that she couldn’t talk or understand any language, or chew food or even walk. Genie started showing signs of development, cognitive, and social skills.
