Purpose of Study
To examine the adverse effects of unemployment in my community of Freeland and to formulate solutions to alleviate the situation.

Location of Study
The location of my study is at Freeland, Mesopotamia, St.Vincent and the Grenadines

Method of Data collection The method of data collection used is in a form of a questionnaire. To gather information for this project the researcher constructed a questionnaire which consisted of 10 items. Which were distributed to twenty five youths in Freeland Mesopotamia. The sample was selected by using the simple random method by placing the name of sixty names of youths in my community in a bag. The bag was shoken vigorously and the first twenty five names were selected and given a questionnaire to complete. The questionnaires were distributed on the 2nd of February and collected on the 11th of February 2015.

Bibliography: ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………pg11 Analysis and Interpretation of Data From this it can be said that most of the respondents were within the age group of eighteen to thirty. The first questionnaire asked the respondents what level of education have they attained or obtained. A vast number of the participants attained a secondary education forty percent, followed by a tertiary education of twenty five percent and the minority attaining a primary education of twenty five percent. From the information mentioned above it can be said that majority of the youths in Freeland, Mesopotamia are not well educated. The second questionnaire asked the respondents how may subjects they have attained. A great majority of the participants did not obtain a subject thirty five percent. Thirty percent gained under five subjects without mathematics and English. Fifteen percent gained five subjects including mathematics and English. Ten percent gained five subjects including maths alone. From this it can be said that most youths are unemployed mainly because they do not have the educational qualifications or in other worlds they lack compulsory subjects. Question three asked the respondents have they ever worked before. The ration of yes and no is 18:7. From this analysis it can be said that the youths in Freeland have worked before or have had working experience. According to question six sixty percent of the children were found to have children. Sixty of the figures are unemployed while the other forty are currently employed. Seventy five percent of the unemployed female respondents are dependent on family and loved ones while the remaining twenty five depend on friends. Acknowledgement I would like to express my special thanks of gratitude to my teacher Miss joseph who give me the golden opportunity to do this wonderful project which also helped me in doing a lot of research and I came about so many new things. I am really thankful to her. Secondly I would also like to thank my parents and friends who helped me out a lot in finalizing the project within the limited time frame and for constantly supervising me.

Of the 25 percent chosen by the sampling method 18 of them have had working experience prior to the collection of the questionnaires. The remaining 7 persons have never had any working experience or held any job posts. According to question ten, sixty percent of the females were found to have children. Sixty of the figures are unemployed while the other forty are currently employed. Seventy five percent of the unemployed female respondents are dependent on family and over ones while the remaining twenty five depend on friends.
