Carry out a literature search, read and submit a explanatory report on the following items:
How to overcome the obstructions to horizontal distance measurement (using tape) – give 3 examples and solutions
Permanent tests and adjustments for accuracy in theodolite – `Collimation in
Azimuth’ , `Spire’ and `Plate level’ tests
Digital Terrain Modelling (DTM)
Verticality Check / Control for Multi-storey building works during construction
Please note :
1. Aspects to be included :

Examples of practical applications
Relevant Illustrations / Sketches / site photographs
No. of pages: min. 10 to max. 20
Assignment Deadline: 10 calendar days from issue date
Submission Guidelines and Requirements :
1. Assignment should be typed in minimum 12 font - double or 1-1/2 spaced
2. Use only one side of the paper and numbered every page.
3. Illustrations / sketches may be hand drawn but should be scanned as part of the submission 4. Proper grammar, spelling and punctuation should be used
5. A margin of 30mm should be left on both sides of the page.
6. Submission should be done in A4 format, comb-binded and provided with a transparent front cover.
7. Submission that are illegible, untidy or do not comply with the required format will be returned unmarked or with marks deducted for poor presentation
8. Every submission must be clearly identified by providing the following details on the front cover page:
